You can rent a Classic 1977 Porsche 911 3.0 Carrera Sport Targa from Northumbria Classic Car Hire. Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne ideally placed for touring the Northumbrian coastline or national park. The most successful sporting road car ever our 911 is one of the very rare C3 Carreras built only in 76/77. Replacing the famous 2.7 Carrera we believe there are probably less than 40 true RHD factory built Sport models in the UK. Worldwide production over 2 years for the Coupe And Targa was just over 3,000, compared to nearly 58,000 911SCs and 76,500 3.2 Carreras produced. Recently beautifully refurbished in its original metallic silver with black leather interior and refurbished Targa top. A very practical and sporting car- with the Targa top removed the fixed rear screen allows ‘almost’ wind free driving. The car has 2 small back seats (2+2). The large doors and generous legroom allow larger driver (6’6) and also Brides with large dresses ample space. The high front windscreen and side screens with wrap around rear screen do allow almost wind free driving with targa top removed
Every days hire (24hrs)includes insurance with full damage waiver excess and unlimited mileage. Half days hire available. Extra drivers are around £20. Recovery service and familiarisation drive included.
