1939' Standard Flying 8

The Standard was restored between 2010 and 2012 with on going improvements to date. The engine was rebuilt with rebore, resleeve and new pistons. The crank had been reground and new bearings fitted. Latest work was new timing chain and new stainless exhaust system.

Most of the ancillaries and running gear has been replaced with Standard Motor Club parts or NOS. 5 new tyres and tubes were fitted at the time of restoration. A new headlining and door cards are in place with the original leather seats. The car can be driven and is "on the road" with its historic tax and MOT exemption.
The car has been resprayed but now shows some micro bubbles in places and the rear seat has a repair to cover partial damage. Just recently converted to SU electric fuel pump. Some interesting period accessories fitted.
