Комментарии продавца про 1929' Austin Austin 12/4 12/4 Fabric Saloon
One of the most recognized of all Vintage motor cars, the Austin 12/4 has long had a strong and loyal following. The sound design has ensured a good survival rate, with these venerable vehicles enjoying the support of the Vintage Austin Register and many are used regularly on events and rallies, still proving remarkably reliable and enjoyable to drive.
The example we present here is a fabric bodied saloon, in truly exceptional condition, having been the subject of an exacting restoration from the bare chassis during the 1990’s, including mechanical rebuild. It is correct in all details and would please the most fastidious enthusiast. The luggage carrier – an item which is often missing from these cars – is fitted, as is the original magazine net in the roof and the smokers hatch, which is also functional.
First registered in July 1929, it was supplied by Kingston Hill Garage to its first owner in Wallington, Surrey. The car was in the hands of the previous owner for 19 years and has the original RF60 buff logbook, plus a number of photos showing the restoration in progress. A number of bills etc, together with details of concours awards won, which have included 3 first prizes.
A charming and characterful Vintage Austin, beautifully presented, this car is sure to bring much pleasure to its new owner.
