1957 RHD Lancia Aurelia B20 Gran Turismo 2500

The Aurelia, Lancia's Masterpiece; LeMans winner in the early fifties with Lurani and Bracco at the wheel, Mille Miglia eligible.....

The car we offer today is the ex Lancia Motors England B20 -3857 still retaining original plate 5 LME and a car that has a great and interesting history. Used on numerous occasions for road tests (see Autocar Road test 1659 Nov 1957)

Eligibile for many historic events and a true useable classic with a remarkable turn of speed as a result of amazingly advanced engine and suspension layout for the day. Often used by accomplished racing drivers in period as daily transport , a great testimony to its performance and reliability.

Chassis no B20 3857 was manufactured in February 1957 making it a 6th series car with the desirable "Nardi" Floor change. Having started life as the Lancia Press car it has embedded provenance and indeed has HTP papers dated December 2008 and FIVA identity card dated 9/02/2009.

5 LME was the subject of a complete restoration in Italy prior to 1992 , pictures on file.

Imported back to the UK in 2008 by Anthony Brazzo and sent to Omicron for a full check over and fettling with report and bills on file.

The old Buff style log book is present showing that the car ,once disposed of by Lancia England , went to a new owner in Pentonville and changed to registration mark 777 AKJ then changed hands a further 6 times between 1958 and 1969 and resided in Cornwall. During this period a new Registration VUV 453 was allocated to the car before going to Italy.

Anthony Brazzo who re-imported the car from Italy discovered that he had bought the Lancia press car and convinced DVLA to reallocate its original plate.

This car has competed in events like Mille Miglia and is a must for the car connoisseur and driver collector.

There are two large files charting the history of this special GT car with photo file of extensive restoration.
