Комментарии продавца про 1970' Land Rover Series 2

This is my Land Rover Series 2A genuine 7 seater Station Wagon, 88" which has undergone a full nut and bolt restoration, but retains original chassis, body and engine (engine numbered in the log book). The odometer shows 65,500 miles, which is likely to be genuine judging by the mechnical condition of the engine and drivetrain, which all showed very little wear.

The chassis has been stripped, repainted and cavity treated to prevent future rust - it is rust free. The bulkhead has been repaired with new sides and ribbed footwells. The rear tub has new galvanised support ribs which will avoid the common issue of them rotting out. Every cavity has been treated and all measures taken to pevent future rust and corrosion. The headlining is original and has come up well. All wiring is new and the car now benefits from an altenator (which looks like the original dynamo), heated front and rear windows and Revotec electric fan.

The restoration has been a very careful and expensive one with no corners cut and no stone left unturned. All of the door seals are the genuine top quality type and all efforts have been made to prevent rainwater entering - this seems to have paid off as footwells remain dry when in rain - unusual for a Land Rover Series! Items like the correct later type pork pie rear lights have been sourced from new old stock. The interior is the correct spec and items of trim such as the simple looking (but very difficult to restore) hardtop panel covers are exactly correct and as original. The various stickers and badges which remain have been carefully retaining to show some of the cars history.

Below is a summary of work done, equipment and the extras:

Full body off restoration, bare metal respray.
Rebuilt all gear syncromesh gearbox - series 3 box with original 2A bell housing, new clutch.
Fairley Overdrive - in excellent working order.
M.A.P Free wheeling hubs - refurbished.
Sanderson Parabolic Springs and Monroe shocks.
Heated front and rear windscreens.
Dynometer Alternator conversion.
New wiring loom.
Engine rear seal and all other seals and hoses replaced.
Stainless Steal Exhaust
New brakes (with servo), brake lines, cylinders, shoes and drums.
Rebuilt front and rear axles with new driveshafts and new swivel joints and seals.
Restored original smiths interior Heater.
Revotec cooling fan.
Lumination electronic ignition.
Hazard warning lights.
Rear tow hitch and electrics.
Front aluminium seat box storage to the middle and passenger side.
New seats, door cards and expensive (but awful) sunvisors.
Front and rear seatbelts.
Genuine Wolf wheels with Michellin XZL tyres.
Comes with original Shelley Jack (and handles), starter handle and wheel nut wrench.

Everything has been fully rebuilt, down to the last nut and bolt. The car has been resprayed in original Land Rover Marine Blue and Limestone, it has not been buffed so is a semi gloss. Being cellulose the paint could be easily polished up if desired.

The car is located in Wantage, near Oxford.
