For sale: A 1948 Nash Ambassador Custom Cabriolet, 1 of 1000 made during the full car run from 1946-1948. Convertibles were only offered during the final year of production for the model.
Car was purchased by the current owner in Kentucky. A frame off restoration was undertaken being completed in 2007 consisting of various professional restoration experts in Northeastern Ohio to the conservative tune of 75,000 dollars and countless owner, family, and friend hours. This car was a labor of love.
Car has been driven when weather was nice and has never seen rain since restoration. The owner has driven less than 2000 miles since the completion of restoration (gages are original to car, but mileage is not believed to be accurate). All components in restoration are Nash original save for electric motor for convertible top, aftermarket radio, and conversion to electronic ignition and 8v charging system including battery cutout. Car was fitted with duel carburetor system prior to purchase in 1987 and believed to be original “hot rodding”(moonshine car?) Comes with Nash technical manual, spear transmission, spear gage cluster, and various other parts. Car was just serviced in June.
Due to the owners advanced age all inquiries must be serious and routed through the owners grandson via phone call or email prior to meeting in person. Price is open to negotiation.
