I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR SINCE 2013 & PURCHASED IT AS A RUNNING,MOTED CAR NEEDING TIDYING. I DROVE IT AROUND FOR APPROX 1 YEAR & THEN SORNED IT FOR A RESTORATION. IT PROBABLY TOOK 2 YEARS TO RESTORE & HAD THE FOLLOWING DONE TO IT...... BARE METAL,ED TO SEE HOW GOOD/ BAD. SUPRISINGLY LITTLE RUST , REAR WINGS WERE REMOVED FOR SMALL REPAIRS & 1 WAS CHANGED. FULL REPAINT IN 2 K INCLUDING ALL ORIGANAL PINSTRIPE REDONE. ENGINE HAD A SET OF UNLEADED HEADS FITTED ALONG WITH A NEW PIPER CAM KIT / FOLLOWERS /TIMING CHAIN KIT ETC. NEW ELECTRONIC DISTRIBUTOR,CARBS REBUILT,RADIATOR RECORE WITH KENLOWE FANS THAT ARE ON A THERMOSTATIC SWITCH ( LIKE YOUR MODERN CAR ) THE SUSPENSION HAS BEEN GONE THROUGH COMPLETLY, WITH NEW BUSHES & NEW SHOCK ABSORBERS. LEAF SPRINGS ARE NEW /CORRECTLY WRAPPED IN GREASE TAPE. ALREADY HAD A GOOD STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST SOME CHROME REDONE, ALL IS LOVELY (EVEN BACK BUMPER ) BRAKES WERE REBUILT & NEW FLEXI HOSES FITTED ALL ROUND, NEW WHEEL CYLINDERS ETC. NEW SET OF VREDSTEIN TYRES ALL ROUND. ELECTRICS WERE GONE THROUGH & ANY IFFY JOINTS REPLACED, ALL CORRECTLY HEATSHRUNK ETC FOR NEATNESS. COMEPLETE NEW SET OF RUBBERS ALL ROUND INCLUDING FRONT & REAR SCREEN. INTERIOR RE-COLOURED , WOODS RE-FINISHED, FURFLEX AROUND DOORS REPLACED ETC ETC. if you are still reading by now you might have realised this has had a no expense spared restoration !! THE PRIVATE REG NUM ROP5B IS INCLUDED IN THE SALE & IN MY HUMBLE OPION IS THE BEST NUMBER I HAVE EVER SEEN ON A P5. THERE IS A EXTENSIVE HISTORY FILE WHICH I HAVE ADDED TO WITH LOADS OF RECIPTS.
