A good original example of a drivable 1947 Singer 9 Roadster with 43,389 miles indicated. The car’s full history is known and is documented, having just four owners throughout its life with the last three owners being my uncle, my father and myself.
The car was originally purchased on 19 September 1947 by L Y Lines of Dover. My father purchased the car from my uncle on 7 February 1956 where he used it until July 1963, when it went into his garage for retirement. I have owned the car since 1996 and over the years the car has undergone minor restoration work.
The car runs, is drivable and maintains the majority of its original features including its colour, engine, bodywork, bumpers, lights, wheels, door handles, side screens, seats, dashboard, starter crank handle, jack, tools, spare wheel, etc. The car had a new canvas roof and tonneau made in the late 1990s.
Also included is the original handbook, tax disks starting from 1951, service record and other historical documents.
