The early '70s weren't kind to muscle cars, and the GTO knows this best. Sales fell dramatically, with Pontiac shipping only 10,532 units in 1971.

The Judge package entered its final year, and like the rest of the GTO versions, its sales collapsed. Pontiac sold only 357 hardtops and 17 convertibles with the Judge treatment, so finding an untouched specimen is nearly impossible today.

Someone on eBay claims they have an unrestored 1971 Pontiac GTO Judge, and based on the photos and documents they provided, this is a real-deal Goat that has always been meticulously cared for.

While the car has never received a complete restoration, it has still received occasional fixes, such as on the body. The paint is "mostly original," so make sure you contact the seller and ask more questions on this front. The interior is also original, sporting a bench seat. A full overhaul never took place in the cabin, so whoever owned this GTO knew precisely how a rare car should be treated.

This is even more impressive when checking the ownership history. This GTO Judge is at its fourth owner, so all the other people who owned the car properly cared for it and never attempted to alter its original condition. eBay seller mrcalgto says the GTO sells with full ownership history and lots of documents, including the original dealer order form and the build sheet.

The engine under the hood is a 455 HO Ram Air unit paired with an M22 4-speed transmission. As anyone can guess, this GTO doesn't need anything, as it starts and runs like a new car. It's in great shape, and despite changing homes quite often since rolling off the assembly lines, it somehow remained a head-turning Pontiac whose place should be in someone's garage.

A Judge doesn't typically sell for pocket money, and a 1971 specimen that's one of the few remaining examples without a complete restoration can't make an exception. This GTO Judge landed on eBay with a $90K price tag, but the owner also enabled the Make Offer option on the auction site.

This means that, depending on your negotiation skills, you might be able to save a few dollars, though I doubt the price will go down substantially. The interest in this GTO appears to be high, as 53 people added it to their watchlists, and with 12 days remaining until the listing goes offline, there's a chance that at least someone makes an offer.

I can't stress enough how important it is to see this car in person, so contact the seller and arrange a live verification before making an offer. The GTO is parked in Laguna Niguel, California, and you should be able to drive it home, albeit you probably won't want to do this, given its condition.
