Vehicle History:
On January 15, 1959, this left-hand drive AC Ace with the Bristol 100 D2 engine was completed at the factory. The delivering dealer was Worldwide Automotiv Inc. in the USA. The first owner was H. Strickstein until 1964, then until 1973 T. Popa, until 1981 R. Peterson, who drove the AC in some races. Peterson sold to J. W. Donaldson, who moved the car with the license plate GRP 100A. From there the car went to France. In 2003 the current owner bought the car at an auction in Monaco from Harry Pradelski. The new owner had the technically and optically tidy car brought to England to one of the best AC specialists, B & D Racing Enterprises. He did not like the non-original dark red color with blue leather. David talked the owner into a full restoration. This took 14 years, but the result is something to behold. After only 140 miles and a new service after the full restoration, this beauty is now for sale.
