With a 1.8-liter engine and designation 1750, the Berlina was launched by Alfa Romeo in 1968.
The four-door sedan was presented to the international press in January 1968 in “Vietri sul Mare (Salerno)”, together with the 1750 GT Veloce coupé and the Spider Veloce.
A few days later it would be presented at the “Brussels Motor Show”.
The Alfa Romeo 1750 Berlina was based on the existing Giulia, which would continue in production, and was introduced to the market with the purpose of being at the top of Alfa Romeo's sedan range, above the 1,300 and 1,600cc versions of the Giulia.
The 1750 Berlina had a larger engine capacity, a longer wheelbase, revised exterior body panels, but shared many interior panels with the Giulia and many parts with other models of the brand. The windshield was also the same.
In 1971 the 1750 Berlina would be replaced by the 2000 Berlina at the top of Alfa Romeo's sedans, seeing the engine increase its capacity to 2 liters (1,962cc) but maintaining the four cylinders in line with double camshafts, two double carburettors mounted laterally and hydraulic clutch.
The Alfa Romeo 2000 Berlina would be replaced by the Alfetta 2000 in 1977, with 89,840 units produced, 2,200 of them with automatic transmissions.
This example, acquired by us from a national collector, has been completely revised in terms of paintwork, has new rubbers on the doors and has 4 new Koni shock absorbers.
Along with the vehicle comes a file with a history of IMT inspections and invoices/proof of the above.
