Despite the destruction of the factory halls, the company was able to live up to this reputation with the 6C 2500 models even after the war. The chassis of this 6C 2500 was delivered by Alfa Romeo to PininFarina in 1948, only to be sent to the USA around a year later as one of only 68 short chassis convertibles built. The vehicle came back to Europe in the 80s and was extensively restored there in France in the early 2000s and then again between 2012 and 2014. Technically and optically, the vehicle is outstanding - and the color grigio suited Rita Hayworth perfectly when she drove up to her wedding with Prince Ali Kahn in May 1949 in her 6c 2500 SS Pininfarina Cabriolet!

The chassis of this 6C 2500 was delivered by Alfa Romeo to Pininfarina in Italy in 1948. It was exported to the USA about one year later as one of only 68 Short Chassis Cabriolets built. In the 1980s the vehicle came back to Europe. It was restored in France in the early 2000s, and then again extensively rebuilt between 2012 and 2014. Technically as well as optically the vehicle is outstanding, and the color "grigio" already suited Rita Hayworth perfectly when she drove her 6C 2500 SS PininFarina Cabriolet to her wedding with Prince Ali Kahn in May 1949!
