It left the factory the following day bound for Germany. On 12 July 1967 the car, via Alfa Romeo Frankfurt, was first-delivered to Calor Witzel International GmbH with the registration GE-AA30. Since then the handsome Alfa has changed owners seven more times up to today. All owners are named and traceable without gaps thanks to the original cardboard-cover letter. Twenty-four years ago the current owner bought the vehicle from the nephew of Burkhard Bovensiepen (Alpina). About 20 years ago the car was completely restored by a specialist in Germany.The GTA brought massive success for Alfa Romeo in the 60s and early 70s in international touring car championships. As a lightweight homologation model, it embodied the dreams of many enthusiasts of its heyday and is today, thanks to its breathtaking performance and its Bertone-designed coachwork, a highly sought-after collectible. Thanks to the extensive use of 1. 2 mm thick body panels from the alloy “Peraluman 25”, it weighed only 740 kg and, combined with its 115 hp 1, 570-cc inline-four engine, delivered breathtaking performance.
