1953 Aston Martin DB2 Left-Hand Drive with Matching Numbers: One of Only 411Aston Martin took the sporting automotive public by storm with the first new car under David Brown s watchful eye the DB2. Debuted at the New York International Auto Show in 1950, this potent sports car was an instant success with only 411 examples built throughout the model s production run. Currently presented in metallic green with a black interior, this lovely, sporting Aston Martin retains its matching-numbers engine per the accompanying Aston Martin build sheet. Just out of long-term storage and requiring mechanical attention prior to road use as it is not currently running. Ordered through Wacky Arnolt s famous dealership in Chicago, LML/50/331 was delivered on June 11, 1953, to its first owner, Joseph Marjob Esq. of Skokie, Illinois. Mr. Marjob selected the striking color combination of Moonbeam Grey paired with blue interior and gray piping. Bound for the US, this DB2 was also specified in left-hand drive with Smiths instruments and Dunlop tires. A truly rare opportunity, this unrestored Aston Martin, in garage-find condition, is a wonderful candidate for straightforward restoration.Chassis no. LML/50/331Engine no.
