Seller's comments about 1956' Austin A30

Finished in gleaming black , complimented with period interior , a charming piece of English history. Upgraded to a 950cc A35 type engine in Deluxe specification starting, stopping and driving well , a honest and usable classicThis 1956 Austin A30 Seven was first registered in March 1956 and is finished in classic black. It is the more desirable Deluxe specification, identifiable by its bumper overriders, opening rear side windows, and twin front ashtrays. Originally supplied with an 803cc engine, the car has at some point been upgraded to a later 948cc A35 type engine, fitted with an SU carburettor, offering a modest improvement in performance while retaining period correct character. A stainless steel exhaust has also been fitted. Although very little documented history has survived, the vehicle was able to start, run, drive and stop under its own power while on site for photography and video, demonstrating that it is a running and usable example. More recent maintenance reported by the vendor includes a new headlining fitted last year, new seals installed in the master cylinder last year, and an engine oil change carried out this year. It therefore represents an honest and usable classic and would make an ideal candidate for ongoing use and improvement, light restoration, or simply continued enjoyment in its current form.
