This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2025 on Sunday the 9th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT.
The Oxford Dictionary's definition of 'Spritely' is "Like a Sprite, lively, nimble, full of energy" a description that neatly fits the smart little Cherry Red Frogeye on offer here.
An original UK-supplied RHD Mk 1 which retains its original 948cc engine
Heritage Certificate confirms despatch in May 1959 to Swain and Jones Ltd, Farnham and onward to its first owner, a Miss Charlton of Camberley
Factory-fitted extras included a heater, rev counter and front bumpers
Comprehensive overhaul in 2005 with invoices: new clutch, ring gear, timing gears/ chain, spin-on oil filter conversion, and +60'' pistons
Brake overhaul in 2011 with new cylinders and shoes
