1960 Austin-Healey Sprite Mk1 - excellent condition with upgrades
Launched in May 1958 to considerable acclaim the Austin-Healey Sprite was to give many enthusiasts their first taste of sports car motoring. Costing virtually the same as a small saloon the characterful little Sprite soon became known as the Frogeye or (Bugeye in the USA) where it also proved a great success.
Presented in exceptional order in all respects having been completely restored some years ago and meticulously maintained since.
There are some subtle performance upgrades which include a Weber 40DCOE carburettor and ‘fast-road’ cylinder head, disc brakes and new callipers. A stainless steel exhaust system is also fitted. The car has been rolling road tested and is running beautifully.
All weather equipment is in excellent condition and there is a history folder which includes receipts, photographs and the rolling road report.
Further details, more photographs and a video will be updated when she arrives towards the end of January.
