Seller's comments about 1956' Chevrolet 150

This 1956 Chevrolet 150 two-door wagon is rare kin to the legendary Nomad, but thats just the beginning of the appeal. Its built to be an all-day cruiser with a fuel-injected V8, overdrive transmission, four-wheel discs brakes, cold-blowing A/C, a luxury interior, and more. The two-door wagon is quite a bit rarer than some coveted 56 Chevys like the Bel Air hardtop and Bel Air convertible. So, while the overall appearance of this one still pays tribute to its more workman roots, you also cant deny its iconic heritage. In fact, speaking of the premium Bel Air, this shares all the best Tri-Five touches, like the intricate tailfins, aircraft-inspired hood ornament, stylized chrome bumpers, and the 1956s exclusive wide grille. And while the special Notmad badging pokes fun at how this is not officially a Nomad, the wraparound rear glass carries that same legendary appeal. But what we like most of all about this one is that its a very upgraded classic but likes to keep an incognito/vintage style. Butternut Yellow and India Ivory make a tasteful two-tone with their smooth shine. The panels look good, the seals are pliable, and the trim is nice - just a well-done classic with the right touches of age to keep it classic. Your largest giveaways to the added cruiser style are the dual exhaust tips and if someone notices that the color-matched wheels are really iconic Rally units. Inside is a nicely upgraded interior that still keeps its vintage charm. The two rows of bench seats have been nicely re-covered in a custom ultraleather pattern. This two-tone tan and brown set the style that coordinates on the door panels, carpet, and headliner. And the classic dual-cowl dash now houses modern amenities like cold R134a air conditioning and a retro-style AM/FM stereo with aux input. So you can carry plenty of family and friends, and they all stay comfortable over the long haul, too. In fact, because this has the large rear cargo area of a standard wagon, you can carry all their stuff, too. So this is the classic thats perfect for everything from road trips to tailgating. But even when its just you going for a solo cruise, this Chevy is great. You have a movable cup holder center console, upgraded sports steering wheels, a tilt column, and a Dakota Digital gauge upgrade that all let you know this is a drivers machine. The low mileage on the odometer is claimed to be since this car was completed, and its said to include even about when the motor was rebuilt. This 305 cubic-inch V8 is now topped with a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system to deliver better power and consistency than the stock small black that made the Tri Fives famous. There are even nice supporting components, like an HEI distributor and aluminum radiator. It has been built to be a great anytime/anywhere cruiser with upgrades like four-wheel power disc brakes, power steering, and a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. This is iconic, rare, upgraded, practical, and all-around awesome. Dont let this wagon slip away, call today!
