Seller's comments about 1979' Chevrolet Camaro

This 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has the classic good looks you love and even its numbers-matching V8... but as you notice the upgraded stance, you really start to see the full picture of an awesome power coupe with an enhanced powerhouse and the superior control of a six-speed. This coupe takes time to make sure we get all the stock 2nd-gen look we love. The light blue paint is correct for the car, but a later respray means a terrific gloss that helps to highlight the clean lines of the chrome-free body. And the Z/28 had terrific details like the blackout front end, full chin spoiler, fender vent trim, special sports stripes, and a three-piece rear spoiler. And while this is a well-done classic, its also never trying to be a sleeper because it also makes sure some upgrades showcase a big power style. Theres a lightweight fiberglass hood featuring securing pins and a nice tall cowl. And the polished Weld Racing wheels cant help but draw added attention to the big rear tires and awesome stance. The black interior is clean and attractive. There are some nice factory features, like power locks and provisions for air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) You even have an upgraded AM/FM digital tuner with cassette. But what youll like the best is the driver-focused feeling. You have high-back front bucket seats, a center console in-between, full gauges with a large speedo and tach, and the special corded grip of the Z/28 steering wheel. And have you counted the gears on the shifter yet? Under the hood is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. Youll even spot a few vintage details like the finned valve covers with racing flags. But your overall impression is that this one has taken the time to really upgrade this powerhouse (after all, you have all those accessors in a coordinating blue.) And it was built for added power with a Comp Cams camshaft, Edelbrock E-Street heads, an HEI distributor, an Edelbrock intake, and topped with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. The long tube headers add to the power while also giving a nice tune to the dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. Its quite a powerful small block, and the upgrade to the six-speed manual transmission means 50 percent more gears than stock to take full advantage of the enhanced power. Also helping to harness this power are the subframe connectors, Competition Engineering traction bars, wide Mickey Thompson rear tires, and a 3.73 Positraction rear end. Add in power steering, power, brakes, and front discs, and this speedy Z-car is an all-around competent driver. The sale comes complete with the factory buildsheet and build receipts. This Camaro has a terrific style that has the look of a proper classic while also announcing its serious upgrade in power. That makes for an awesomely irresistible Z/28. Call today!!!
