Seller's comments about 1968' Daimler 420 Sovereign
New MOT just to show it’s a sound example. In my ownership the diff has had new output bearings and seals, rear discs and pads. The steering box has been rebuilt by Kiley Clinton Engineering. The brake pipes and hoses have been replaced front and back and more recently new front discs and pads. The car was restored about 25years ago but has done little miles since. The engine and gearbox were removed about 5 years ago, sending the engine to VSE (best in the country at the time) for a complete £5000 rebuild and the gearbox checked by a specialist and given a clean bill of health. Again not many miles have been covered since. The engine sounds sweet and doesn’t seem to use any oil. The interior is in great condition. The leather is nice and supple, the wood throughout has a lovely gloss (no crazing or cracks) and the headlining and sunroof are v/ good. I have installed new seatbelts. There are some bits of the bodywork that need attention, hence the price.
