1957' Daimler Conquest

Daimler Conquest New Drophead Coupe (DJ254), Excellent Condition, chassis number 90553, built Dec 1956, registered Aug 1957. The last chassis number of the series of 54 cars.
95, 808 miles, fully restored, original 100 bhp aluminium head engine. Full stainless double exhaust, correct for the car (most are fitted with saloon exhaust). Fitted with 'LiteSteer' electric power steering and SU electric petrol pump, MotoLita steering wheel which is only reasonably possible with the power steering and which makes access easier. Indicator stalk (switch) to replace the steering centre switch that didn't work reliably with the power steering modifications. Recent full brake overhaul including front linings.
Universal white band radial tyres with less than 3000 miles. History file for the past owners going back to 1985.
Door cards appear original, but in good order. Replacing or refurbishing the dash covering would improve its appearance. Panel gaps could be better, but are typical of the model. Includes matching blue tonneue cover.
Is much admired, would love to keep it, but need the space for other projects.
