Seller's comments about 1987' Dodge D/W Truck D-150 LE

1987 Dodge d-150 LE Pick Up

This truck was purchased just about 9 years ago from a dealer here in CT, who purchased it wholesale from a dealer in KY who took the truck in trade. Not sure if that was the original owner who traded the truck in, but whoever did kept the truck in very good condition.

She has just over 100,000 miles on her and we know that the right side door has been painted and possibly other panels, but there is original paint on her.

As an LE (Luxury Edition) you don't see too many from the 80's era.

Trucks were trucks then and ordering one with AC, Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Steering and Power Brakes (discs in front, drums in rear), tilt wheel, cruise control and intermittent wipers was a rare thing. The seat is the original "crushed velvet" - velour and is in exceptional condition without a tear or even any kind of harsh wear.

There is some minor corrosion on the lower rockers, more surface/rust stains and the frame and undercarriage show surface rust as well but nothing major again. Parts of the frame are in such good condition, the original factory stencil marks are still visible.

The engine is the nearly bullet proof 318 LA engine and it is backed by a 3 speed automatic transmission which should be the TorqueFlight 727.

In terms of being solid, she's at the top of her class. She is a little rough around the edges but doesn't show it until you get real close. The bed has definitely been used, but it's not dented or rusty. There is a small dent on the tail gate, some chips here and there in the paint, some pine sap on the hood that needs some attention to get off with damage and there is some cloudiness on the lower section of the windshield.

The turbine wheels were not stock on her but they were optional Dodge wheels. The tires were replaced just a few years and aside from that, the current owner has done some oil changes and replaced the driver side window switch and motor.

While not a concours winning show piece, she's clean enough that if you take her out to a cars and coffee or cruise night, she will get attention, however, she's just rough enough that you can use her as a truck and not worry.

With new trucks soaring above $50,000 for even some base models, if you need a REAL truck for around the house duties or moving hay and "gentleman farm" supplies, etc. this Dodge is your truck.

Asking price on her is under $10,000.

$9500 will take her home.

Any questions, for several hundred additional photos and video, to schedule a time to see her or to simply make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you!
