Seller's comments about 1949' Ford F-1

You instantly know this 1949 Ford F-1 is a unique build just by the vivid paint. But as you dig into the details, youre going to love how this one respects the iconic style while also giving you terrific upgrades. So check out the enhanced flathead V8, five-speed, comfy interior, and all the other pieces that make this a thoughtful custom build. The Ford F-1 is arguably the best-looking post-war truck. While they all have a basic industrial attractiveness, this example is a cut-above because of its customizing. It starts with the bold yellow because painting a pickup with a Corvette color will certainly grab attention. The front grille is color-matched, and so it gives the rest of the brightwork a chance to stand out in places like the bumpers, hood trim, step plates, and tri-bar headlights. There are even bright slates holding down the clean lumber in the truck bed. Youll also notice theres a hint of purple on the tailgate that looks really cool against the vivid yellow. Its a total presentation thats the perfect balance of looking fantastic without giving the impression of a non-driving trailer queen. After all, the shining Ridler alloys look great with this radiant package while also letting you fit a nice set of modern tires. Not only is the exterior vivid, but arguably, the interior goes even bolder. Thats because the hint of purple outside was a hint at the package inside that includes the carpeting, seat inserts, armrests, and shift knob. Its a thoughtful style where the purple is intertwined with white in details like the carpet piping, seatbelts, and Ford V8 logo stitched in the seatback. This has added comfort with features like a contoured seat and an AM/FM radio hidden in the glove box. But the classic dual-spoke steering wheel and details on the dash always remind you this is a classic truck. And the full upgraded gauge package with speedo and tach lets you know youre going to like whats under the hood. The engine bay showcases the dual diving coolant pipes that are part of the unmistakable style of classic Ford flathead V8 power. But we doubt youve seen one built to this level before. Were told its a full build that likely has only about 12k miles on it. They took the 239 cubic-inch motor and enlarged it to 274ci total. Then it was enhanced and fortified with a four-inch crankshaft, Isky MaX-1 camshaft, new valves (guides, springs, retainers), Motor City cylinder heads, an Offenhauser intake, and topped with dual two-barrel carburetors by Speedway Motors. Its supported by a 12-volt system with a Powermaster starter, Mallory coil, one-wire alternator, and an electric fan. This makes for one of the most eager-to-run flatheads youre likely to ever experience. And to help you fully harness that extra power is the upgrade to a T5 five-speed manual transmission. The suspension keeps the classic Ford set up for a nice touch of the old-school feel. But they also wanted to make sure the drive fits with this trucks new hot rod style. So you also have upgraded power steering, front disc brakes, QA1 shocks, and modern grippy tires. Its a Ford pickup that attracts a lot of attention, but the enthusiast who will enjoy it most is the one sitting behind the wheel. Make it yours today!
