Seller's comments about 1947' Ford Pickup

Low, sleek, and absolutely custom, this 1947 Ford pickup is an awesome dual-quad street machine. And as you take a closer look, youre going to discover a higher level of quality thats on everything from the strong custom chassis to the loaded interior. You can just tell this truck gets everything right. It starts with the frame. Its a Competition Engineering piece by Moroso. So not only is it a strong foundation for a custom build, but also you have great details, like how the sides are drilled for old-school lightweight style. They properly channeled the cab so that it sits in this frame, and they also chopped inches out of the roof to give this a wind-cheating profile. Up front, the 32 Ford grille and large independent headlights give this a terrific pre-war style. In the back, the bullet taillights and old-school trunk add so much style that you may also miss the substance of the stainless fuel tank. And its all finished off with a terrific set of bright smoothie wheels and classic whitewalls. The interior has been just as carefully crafted to be comfortable but still look like a bare-bones street machine. For example, there are cup holders, but they are welded into the transmission tunnel. There are also well-bolstered bucket seats, power windows, and an AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input. But theres also a classic hot rod feel with the pinstriping on the dash, skull on the shifter, and a classic Ford dual-spoke steering wheel. And the dash does a good mix of vintage and new with the classic look to the upgraded AutoMeter gauge package. We know youve been staring at that motor this whole time, and so will everyone else. This is a show-ready package that shines over every inch with the pulleys, valve covers, compressor, alternator, and so much more polished to a mirror-like shine. And the dual air grabbers on top are the unmistakable sign of a double-shot of four-barrel carburetors. These Edelbrock feed into a Weiand intake to add plenty of power to this 350 cubic-inch V8. And youve also got good supporting components, including a Mallory electronic ignition and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The full dual exhaust system gives a terrific tune to this V8, but when you really want to bring the power, the cutoffs directly give you the growl from the headers. When you look underneath, not only do you have the stronger chassis, but also a tubular A-arm front end, four-link rear suspension, and Ford 9-inch rear. Add in a three-speed automatic transmission and front disc brakes, and you have an awesome street machine. The sale comes complete with build receipts, maintenance records, and restoration photos. It takes a lot of time, money, and planning to get a coordinated build like this. We know youve not seen anything as cool as this in a long time. And if you wait too long, you might never get another chance again. Call today!!!
