Welcome to Oldie Point! We are always on the lookout for vintage and youngtimers! We look forward to your offer!
After first being delivered to the USA in 1963, this E-Type from the first series was imported to Holland by a dealer around the year 2000 and restored there for five years. In 2008 the vehicle was bought by its current owner and individually approved in Austria. Since then, the car has been serviced every year in the spring, and then actively used in the warm season. Maintenance and improvement work was always carried out promptly and well documented, for example the car today probably has significantly better gap dimensions than when it was delivered in 1963. The most recent work (09/2022) included sealing the rear axle and replacing the front axle bearings. The vehicle still has the original bucket seats typical of the first series - these have been reupholstered by the current owner. Also specific to the first series on this vehicle are the aluminum dashboard, toggle switches and contemporary radio. Only the original Moss box was changed by one of the previous owners to a later series fully synchronized Jaguar gearbox. This Jaguar is overall in very good condition inside and out and it drives harmoniously and powerfully both when cold and when warming up. The brakes and the steering are also convincing, so that the vehicle is technically very reliable. It also has a FIVA passport, as well as a socket and holder for a retro trip for classic car rallies. Commission sale on behalf of the customer.
