1973' Lancia Fulvia

My car since 2008, when i purchased from a friend who had completed a body restoration, using legendary lancisti bill lewis’s repair panels.
but was then unable to complete the project, so i stepped in, as i had seen the love that had gone into the car over 2/ 3 years and almost immediately had the fulvia oven painted by a professional, in black, including all the door shuts etc etc. So not the original colour, but as the car had no history to speak of, i went with another colour. And Black was an extra cost option on the Series 2 cars-fact.
Sibnce 2009 when i got the car back from the paint shop, it has been an on/ off project to complete the fitting up/ recommissioning of this little beauty, which i tasked to another fulvia legend. It was probably a mistake to say i was not in a hurry/ as and when etc. Because the fulvia was with him for 10 years! But this gave me the time to source all the best used parts i could, as well as a myriad of new parts. The list is endless, but this process was thorough-new clutch, all new brakes, exhaust, rebuilt carbs, replacement servo, rebuilt master cylinder, replacement 30k only gearbox etc etc.
and now the end is very close, needing only the new interior refitting (new seats, panels, carpets, headlining already done) and some chrome trim-door handles, quarter light catches etc. In essence, the final details and it is these that make the fulvia an iconic italian car. As well as the driving experience of course and this is where the fulvia excels….. this car starts on the button, idles smoothly, drives beautifully through all the gears and of course stops, all with no drama whatsoever.
did i mention the mileage of 65k only? and the fact that my fulvia comes fitted with safari alloy wheels x 5………all refurbished professionally and fitted correct size dunlop tyres-165 x 14.
so ready for collection by the new owner in may-please remember this is not a recently imported fulvia, being in fact a right hand drive u. k. car from birth. lovely undamaged dash top and facia too.
finally, as stated, my fulvia was painted in 2009 and since then has at times been parked outside for long periods, yet not one bubble on the whole of the bodywork! there are a few small marks in the paint, largely through storage in various places.
so in summary, not concours, but very nice, with nothing needed for the foreseeable, save servicing etc. fairly priced in the current market i feel, so no offers on the asking price-£18, 950.
Update-New Cloth Interior now installed-Beautiful! Car Ready 2nd week June.
