1964 Mercedes 230SL Pagoda. LHD 5 speed manual.
We are well known experts in Pagoda restoration. Others fail where we suceed in restoring these cars to the highest possible standard.
Do not be persuaded by those who pretend to be knowledgeable that the 230 is the lesser of the three Pagoda models available. All are fantastic cars and all have their individual merits. The 230 has better aesthetics and the engine is much more willing than its larger capacity relatives.
This car has been stripped to a bare shell and acid dipped to remove all finishes. We were amazed to find that all of the panels were original and only the boot floor required replacement.
We then spent two years rebuilding her in the original colours as per the data card.
Absolutely everything is rebuilt to new spec. In the case of the engine, it is better than new since we balance our engines to a tolerance of 1g/ inch as against the original spec of 5g.
All 237 pieces of chrome are re-chromed to show quality.
All new leather interior sourced from Germany with the correct grain and pattern. Original headrests were sourced and added.
A 5 speed manual gearbox was installed.
Every single rubber seal or mounting is new.
All technical specs regarding to chassis dynamics have been observed in a way that few can match.
Absolutely every last nut and bolt and mechanism has been attended to and as a result the car starts, runs and drives like new.
Naturally, this level of work and detail does not come cheap but if you're looking for the best Pagoda money can buy; you've found it.
Ready to be enjoyed and driven or indeed take pride of place in any connoisseur's collection.
Interested parties should contact us and we'll forward a link documenting the restoration in the form of hundreds of photographs.
