Mercedes-Benz W116
The 300SD version, with a 3,000 cubic centimeter turbocharged five-cylinder diesel engine, was produced from 1977 to 1980 and available only in the USA and Canada.
Only 28,634 examples of this version were produced (with over 473,000 of the total W116 production), this one is number 9593.
Year of production 1979, imported from the USA to Germany in 2012, where it remained unregistered until 2020, when I bought it near Berlin.
Very rich equipment: automatic air conditioning (working), 4 electric windows, electric sunroof, automatic gearbox, cruise control, central locking, tachometer, Becker Mexico Stereo radio, automatic antenna, armrest, rear headrests, reading lights in the rear pillars.
Chassis number: 116 120 12 009593, original color graublau metallic, original navy blue leather interior, everything in the car 100% consistent with the chassis number (also engine and gearbox numbers consistent with the date on the card).
I have complete documentation for the car (original owner's manual, service book, date card, scan of American contracts, etc.).
183,000 miles on the odometer.
After importing from Germany, it underwent thorough detailing and repairs in the DetailKing network (including completely dismantled and cleaned the entire interior, including door panels, headliner and sunroof, replacement of front and rear lamp seals, replacement of the hood soundproofing, cleaning and polishing of all chrome elements, hard wax for varnish). Additionally, renovation of rims with new paint.
A lot of new parts (front and rear window seals, suspension components, brake lines, door stops, sunroof seals and slides, thermostat, window water wipers, repair of electric window lifters), but there are still a few things that need to be repaired or replaced.
The car is completely rust-free, has been repainted, the interior (seats, sofa, carpets, carpets, door panels) is in excellent condition, the dashboard has cracks.
The car is in drivable condition, often used on a daily basis during the season, including car events.
