A really delightful & surprisingly fast little period tourer by Morris. This car comes to us from octogenarian owners who in turn purchased it some years ago from a very old man residing in Devon. The car saw little use under his decades of ownership & the indicated mileage of 23365 may well be the original miles covered from new. The car certainly has a tight, taut feel to it. The 3 speed gear box with synchromesh on second & third is a delight to use with no play in it whatsever.
The car is finished in maroon over black. The hood is a cream heavy canvas item & whilst being patinated is very serviceable. The carpets are new & the seats have been beautifully recovered in the correct rexine material. The car sits on four wire wheels shod with good tyres. A full quota of instruments are found on the dash board. THe car in the current ownership has been maintained by a local garage.
Driving this little Morris is really a pleasure. It trots along at 45 to 50MPH & is eminently comfortable for B road motoring. The engine is sharp & crisp with good oil pressure & sweet running. Driving it is a real James Herriot syle experieince & it elicits smiles wherever it goes. It is a well sorted good runniing car needing nothing.
