A LEGEND of American motoring - Pontiac Firebird - for sale! Anyone who watched "The Steering Master Runs Away" surely knows what I'm talking about ;) The last photo is the inspiration/goal I wanted to achieve but unfortunately the plans have changed a bit - building a house, family... you have to change your priorities... About the car - 1979 and under the hood reliable 5.7 engine - it is not the original 6.6, but when I read about both units and the fact that over the next decades the 5.7 was installed in many cars, I was convinced not to change it :) Besides, you can see that it was invested in, so just use it! It has plenty of power and pulls you out of the lights, which is nice! And that sound… poetry! It doesn't matter whether it's at low speed or when it's roaring away... it's impressive and hardly anyone won't look at it. Automatic gearbox - all gears engage without any problems. It reduces very efficiently when you press the gas :)Blacharka - surprisingly good for a 45-year-old. There is some corrosion on the floor in the trunk, but the corners near the hatch are healthy and that's the worst nightmare. The putty on the wheel arches and doors is cracked - you can see what's going on underneath, but I haven't removed it yet. The rest of the sheet metal is in good condition and nothing disturbing can be seen. The paint is not my color but it holds up - I was planning to paint it anyway. The inside - the windows are intact, the dashboard, the seats and the center tunnel are without any damage, the sides at the back are cracked and need to be replaced (they are lying around). in the trunk if someone wanted to do something with it). You also need to replace the belts because they were lost by the previous owner. Equipment - basically everything works, i.e. power steering, electric windows, rear window heating, lights, etc., so you don't have to do anything here and if you find something, it will be a simple job. Nice rims but needs to be cleaned/regenerated. MEGA wide "rollers" at the rear - they make an impression :) A DRIVING CAR! Inspection in about 10 months and third party liability insurance - sometimes we go for a ride. Generally, I wouldn't be afraid to drive it 100 km or more :) It starts, drives, brakes... you know it's old, so you can't rush it. I believe that if someone devotes some time to the car, they will have a MEGA cool project and such a restored car is worth 100k+ so you can even treat it as an investment :) The car has normal sheet metal, but you can easily change it to yellow - it's up to the future owner, each option has its pros and cons.
