Seller's comments about 1948' Rover 75

This stunning Six Light Saloon was registered as HAC 36 on the 30th June 1948. The car was supplied new in Edinburgh and did not change hands until 1960 when the car was registered in Ellesmere, Shropshire within the same family. The Rover stayed in Shropshire for over 30 years before briefly moving to Cheshire. From 1993 to 2000 HAC 36 was in Wales and between 2000 and coming to us for the first time in 2009 the Rover was mainly in Lancashire. We first acquired the car from a military vehicle engineering Company in Wigan and quickly sold the car to a regular customer in Newcastle Upon Tyne. For two years HAC 36 was a regular on the North East show scene before coming back to us in part exchange against a show standard Morris Eight Series E. We sold the car on arrival in late 2011 to local customers in York who enjoyed the car for three years. In 2014, we sold the Rover to the most recent owner near Newcastle who has covered around 1500 faultless miles in the car.
The Rover has been driven down to us from Gateshead performing superbly and once again proving to be an incredibly usable, reliable 1940's classic having had regular use since the early 1990s'. We can see from previous MOT certificates that the Rover has been in annual use and has covered almost 10000 miles in 27 years.
The Rover presents very well with lovely paintwork and the chrome work is impressive giving a strong overall feel of quality thoughtful the vehicle. The upholstery has beautifully aged and does retain some originality. Most of the green leather upholstery is original, and the tool tray is still with the car. Carpets, headlining, woodwork and door cards are all in very good order and whilst the Rover isn't presented in show winning condition, it is a very good quality older restoration that does offer a good balance of originality and superb re-finishing that gives the car an honest, useable feel. Not only will the car be admired on the local show scene, it is excellent to drive and will be thoroughly enjoyed for weekend driving, rallies and touring.
