I Purchased the car back in sept 2020, the guy I purchased it from said he used it everywekend, history wise very little only what the guy told me , the car has been looked after by the previous owner to him he had new callipers brake pipes etc all except the slave and master cylinder done which are new in the boot. The engine is sweet and sounds lovely, it has a stainless steel exhaust, When I purchased the car I drove it straight to a class car garage to give it the once over , chassis is sound its had some welding done on the rear , its a new boot floor , interior needs a freshen up rear parcel shelf etc is sun bleached , I’ve covered about 100 miles since I purchased it. I was hoping to do a good restore but my garage is so tiny you cant even get out of the car when you park up , so I think I need to find a new hobby my drive is a big slope , the car is tax and mot exempt, I sent of for the heritage certificate when I bought the car. The colour chassis and engine numbers all match . I found an old envelope in the boot from rimmers , I wrote to the person whose address I could make out, asking about the car , I got an email back saying that it was the lady’s late husband who was restoring the car but had sadly passed away, hence no history as she didn’t know .
The guy I bought it from changed the grill to a mk1 but the mk2 is in the boot along with period radio
