Iconic Jeep released from French Forces with only 30000Kms of use. French had themselves brought it up to full “as new” condition in 1972 Imported into the UK 1997 by car enthusiast and stored in Shropshire for a few years. Purchased by leading Jeep restoration expert J. Cobb. Vehicle was stripped of old paint and zinc coated. Pictures are available of this work. Mechanically overhauled with all parts being separately painted. The result was vehicle that for all intents and purposes was new. Vehicle was used for some years as for advertising being featured in the Sun and other 4x4 magazines. Sold to an enthusiast in where it remained in the family till sold in 2014 where it was transported by its owners to Spain for 2 years. On its return it was owned by another renowned classic vehicle restorer, where all of the mechanical items were again stripped and re serviced to as new condition. As a result it is in excellent running condition. Engine can be described as “sweet as a nut”. Invoices show gearbox overhauled with new clutch when rebuilt. 2017 All invoices and history available The vehicle is still in drab olive with a “patina” that only age can produce.
