·         Willys Overland Station Wagon
·         First registration: 1947
·         Petrol, 60hp, 2.2 liters, 4 cylinders, manual transmission
·         Mileage: Unknown
·         The car has original Austrian documents!

The present car is in partially restored condition. The body was renovated and completely repainted outside and inside. The interior was newly wallpapered. The chrome parts were also re-chromed by a foreign specialist company using original chemicals. All body rubbers are available as new parts or have already been installed. The new window panes are already installed including the crank windows in the two doors. The instrument unit has been completely overhauled and calibrated by an instrument maker. Over the years the car received a Volvo engine with a Volvo gearbox, both of which have already been removed. An original Willys gearbox and an original "Go Devil" engine with all add-on parts such as distributor, fuel pump, intake pipe, carburettor, exhaust manifold, clutch bell and clutch were purchased. These parts are included with the vehicle. The following new parts are also included in the scope of delivery: shock absorbers, wheel brake cylinders, brake shoes, rear lights on the left and right as well as various other parts.

Classic American cult station wagon with the famous "Go Devil" four-cylinder flathead in-line engine, 60 hp, three-speed manual transmission, rear-wheel drive, whitewall tires, etc.
The Willys Overland Station Wagon is known to be the world's first SUV. It was also the first American station wagon with an all-steel body after the pre-war Woody station wagons. Many technical components were adopted from the well-known robust and simple Willys military jeeps.
Few people know that the legendary design comes from none other than Brooks Stevens, who, among other things, was responsible for the design of the Harley Davidson Hydra Glide, the Cadillac Valkyrie concept car, the extravagant Gaylord Gladiator, the Studebaker GT Hawk, and the sensational Excalibur !
Few people know that this successful Jeep model was built in the USA until 1964, in Argentina until 1970 and in Brazil even until 1977! The car can legitimately be described as a milestone in the history of automobile construction!
The vehicle offered here comes from the ownership of oil pioneer Richard Keith van Sickle, who struck oil near Neusiedl an der Zaya in 1938. For political reasons he had to leave the country in 1939 and was only able to return to his oil fields in the Weinviertel in 1946. In 1947 he purchased this Station Wagon. Incidentally, starting in 1989, Van Sickle's company gradually became the property of ÖMV over the following decades. ________________________________________
