1962 Willys Utility Wagon

Purchased just about 3 years ago, this once rusty Lost Soul has been resurrected.

Found languishing in a barn where it had been sitting for upwards of 30 years, this Utility Wagon was rescued and treated to a new lease on life.

The rust was all cut off and new panels were all handcrafted. This was all done in a small garage without bead rollers and other higher end body equipment.

Once everything was cleaned up and ready for paint, it too was done in the same garage. The goal here not to be out winning concourse car shows but to bring a Lost Soul back and on the road again. The fuel tank and all lines were replaced along with new filters and a complete carb rebuild on the old 2 bbl Carter.

The brakes and suspension rec'd the same care. New springs front and rear, new shocks all around, new brake lines (hard and soft), new brakes (shoes, rotors, wheel cylinders, etc) and new bearings. Most of the exhaust has been replaced as well.

The Hurricane Flathead Straight 6 still runs strong and aside from new plugs and oil/filter didn't need any additional work. The odometer shows 96,000 miles and that is believed to be correct.

The seat was pulled out and the frame cleaned up and repainted and some durable black denim wrapped around it. Again, not show winning but comfy enough and durable.

The windshield is new and several bits of weatherstripping have also been replaced.

Tires and wheels are new and the tires are Cooper Discoverer AT 3's in 265/70/R15 with 2022 dates.

The rear Dana 44 and front 25 were given oil changes and fresh grease.

There isn't much in the way of amenities. The vacuum wipers are rather slow and sometimes need assistance to get going. The heat does work and so do the lights and blinkers.

Windows roll up and down and old school AC (wing windows) also open as they should.

The 4x4 system works as it should. Shifts into low and high range and the manual hubs turn.

In essence, this Willys Utility Wagon is ready to jump in and use. Whether it's hauling garbage down to the landfill or bringing a lawn mower to Gramma's she's ready to work. She's clean enough to bring out to local cruise nights where the effort to get her back on the road will be truly appreciated.

Runs and drives great, no rust.

If you'd like to bring her home, the asking price is $9000
