Verkäuferkommentare zu 1927' Packard 4-Litre Saloon
1927 Packard 4-Litre Saloon Reg. no. DS 9025 Chassis no. 132203 Engine no. U132539A Packard cars were a luxury car manufacturer right from the outset. Their first cars were made nearly at the dawn of car manufacure, in 1899. The company were true innovators, being the first to use the \'modern steering wheel\'and then years later they were the first company to have a production 12-cylinder engine. In the 1920s Packard exported more cars than any other in its price class and in 1930, sold almost twice as many abroad as any other marque priced over $2,000. This excellent vintage saloon was purchased in 1996 and then sympathetically restored by the present owner. It has been in regular use ever since as part of a wedding car fleet. Finished in ivory over maroon this splendid car is very reasonably estimated when compared to some European cars of a similar age. The equivalent British car with that level of comfort and performance would be extremely hard to find, let alone afford. This Packard is offered with a V5c and a new MOT that expires in February 2018.
This and 60 other classic cars will be sold at auction, on March 4th at Allington, Chippenham, Wiltshire SN14 6LJ All enquiries to 01249 444544
