Commentaires du vendeur sur 1948' Alvis TA14

Rare opportunity to buy this fantastic 1948 Alvis TA14 Milliner Body. In stunning maroon over old English white. Ready to be enjoyed for the summer!

I bought the Alvis a few years ago she was originally Black over green. Over the winter i decided to strip the car, it was stripped and media blasted with a fine abrasive back to bare metal, the original paint and filler was hiding a multitude of sins! I would never buy another car with out seen its history in detail.

The car after been blasted required some serious repairs. so it went to a local specialist where it stayed for 3 months. The car has had a lot of metal put back in to her and wood. It has been done properly not some back street garage I have photos to prove its province. The paint job is second to non the same painter having won numerous concourse shows with his cars.

The chassis over ownership has been fully bare metaled and treated with a subsea black Jotun coating. This is far superior to any powder coating.

The rear axle has been stripped, new bearings and brake shoes fitted. The wheels have all been shot blasted and powder coated.

The brake shoes are all new right round and the clutch is also new.

leaf springs have been fully refurbished this winter all round as has the fuel tank.

The engine has been out just this winter and has had the head re done, all new valve guides and valves. Its just been to a engine tuning specialist and had the carb all re built, electric ignition fitted and tuned up. The interior was all new 2 years ago. Seats, headlining and carpets. The car drives well for its age as you would expect.

I have got other classic cars and bought a new one i need the space so she needs to go. I'm not desperate to sell but I don't think you will find a better TA14 with all this work done. I have receipts for the work totalling more than the asking price of the car.

The car has just been in a feature in practical classics magazine.

They as always are couple of little tinkering jobs that need doing to her, couple of the screws would benefit from been replaced for nice counter sunk ones on the door trim, speedo isn't the most accurate piece of measuring equipment going!

If you are serious then get in touch.
