Commentaires du vendeur sur 1954' Chevrolet 3100
Super rare super cool super desirable 1954 Chevy 3100 half ton pickup, it's pretty much a rust free truck having lived in dry high altitude states its entire life. Hot rod it or simply leave it alone! It is more or less rust free, the cab floors, chassis etc where they normally rust out are solid. There is some rust in the driver side cab corner but no big deal and easily remedied should you wish to do so. No rust buckets here!!!! Most of the panels on this truck are super straight if you are looking to carry out a body restoration.
Originally a blue truck this was owned by Anderson Equipment in Wyoming, a heavy haulage company still trading today! You can still make out the signage on the rear of the cab. Half ton short bed High altitude dry state truck hence great solid metal Original 6 volt electrics with new battery Original 235 cubic inch straight six motor(full oil pressure) with 4 speed manual floor change transmission All electrics work, gauges, headlights, tail lights, brake lights etc Vacuum wipers DO NOT work New cab glass all round, windscreen, rear and door glass. New door lock so cab can be locked and secured. New fuel tank sender unit. Excellent un-butchered interior Wider steel wheels with good tread white wall radial tyres fitted She currently has blocks in the leaf springs to lower the ride height, these can be simply removed to standard. Recent new wood in bed though an amateur job.
Many would argue this year Chevy is the best of the 1st series fat fendered trucks, with its revised grill, new interior dash, one piece curved windshield and full oil pressure revised engine.
This is a very straight truck and one of the best original unmolested examples you will find!
Recently the truck has had some new wiring to the electrics, new plug leads, ignition switch, coil etc and the fuel system has been gone through to include flushing out the tank and a carburettor rebuild. The truck starts right up, runs like a swiss watch and it's fair to say is the quietest 235 I've ever had.It has great oil pressure and emits no smoke. It drives very well and goes through all the gears as it should.Brakes stop it exactly as they should. It has been registered and tagged in Wyoming and used until recently. Please be assured that all parts for these trucks are readily available both in the UK and in the US so keeping her on the road is easy and inexpensive.
The truck will be sold UK road registered with V5 and number plates. I have the original US Title and NOVA showing all duties paid.
The truck is exempt from MOT being more than 40 years old.
I can also arrange delivery of this truck
Finally serious interested parties please call Pete on the details below , please no lowballers , tyre kickers, please be realistic with your expectations. This is still a 64 year old truck, as such it will drive like one and not like your 2013 BMW. Sorry but I will not entertain offers unless interested party has viewed the truck first
Sourcing , procuring and shipping these vehicles is a time consuming and expensive task. Everything has increased in price due to the pounds weakness since the brexit vote. The values of these vehicles are only going one way Indeed Quentin Wilson recently wrote in his newspaper column that prices of 50s American trucks were climbing fast!
