Commentaires du vendeur sur 1946' Dodge W200
This rare ¾ ton 4X4 long bed came to the state of Connecticut as a solid mid-western project. While it was not subjected to the harsh weather of the northeast, the truck did see a life of general use. As a result, this W200 underwent a full cosmetic restoration by two knowledgeable Dodge restorers. A full album has been completed documenting the restoration, and will be included in the sale. The classic color scheme of the green cab over black fenders shows nicely, with rare lower body panels, free of any defects. This truck runs and drives very well, and shifts smoothly – as long as you’re familiar with double clutching. It starts easily, with no smoke and has good oil pressure. The engine compartment has been done to a very high standard with period decalls. Inside the cab, the truck has been restored to period correct specifications, including full functional vintage heater. A temperature gauge has been added, as well as turn indicators and four way flashers.
The underside of the truck has also been restored with the same level of detail, with a red oil pan and crank case cover. The correct date coded wheels done in grey will be on the vehicle at the time of the sale, while over $1,000 has been spent on new tires, seals and tubes. This truck does leave the option of a side mounted spare to be added if desired by the next owner. The rare long bed option - nine feet of wood lined bed shows wonderfully, and is free of any dents. While this Dodge W200 is beautifully done, it is still very usable for attending shows, or light weekend chores!!
