Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer an absolutely beautiful 1932 Ford Roadster. This roadster has been custom built from the ground up. The body is a Kilbourne Rod Shop fiberglass body with Hoosier steel hood and sides. The hood opens and closes with a Dan Fink hinge mechanism. The body has been finished in PPG black paint. It has a deep shine which is brought out even more with the red pin striping accents. One bold touch is the bright red grill in front that sets it apart from other '32s. It looks great sitting between 10" 1932 Ford headlights. The body sits atop American Stamping frame rails. It features a Chassis Engineering X-member/transmission mount and 4 link rear suspension. The ride is improved with chrome coil overs and 3 way adjustable shocks in front. Look through the front wheels and you'll find front disc brakes with braided stainless steel brake lines. The wheels are 15" American Racing Torq-Thrusts; 6" wide in the front, and 8" in the back with staggered tires. Powering this piece of rolling art is a Chevrolet 283 V8 which has been bored .030 over with .010 under crank and rods. It features a Speed Pro Cam 280 which gives a nice lope without sacrificing street ability. An old school theme is kept under the hood with early Corvette chrome valve covers. An Edlebrock 600 CFM sits atop a polished intake. The engine also sports HEI distributor, cross fire ignition, jet coated "block hugger" headers and a C A R radiator. The transmission is a GM TH350 with B&M 2,000 RPM stall converter. Inside is a very nice Lokar shifter on the floor for gear selection. The interior is all new custom leather. It features a beautiful red leather sliding bench seat and a leather wrapped "Banjo" style steering wheel which amounts to an Iditit tilt column. Recent upgrades include rack and opinion steering , Posi-Trac rear end and new gauges. Overall this is a beautifully assembled street rod with top notch parts that will not disappoint.
