Commentaires du vendeur sur 1936' Lancia Augusta Pininfarina
The Lancia Augusta was the first sedan in the world to be equipped with a load-bearing body and built-in luggage rack accessible from the outside. This version is very rare because one of the first custom bilt car of Pininfarina. The Lancia Augusta was built with two kind of chassis number, one for the standard Augusta and another for the custom made. At the Milan Exhibition in 1934, a new Augusta chassis was presented, the 234 type specially designed for custom made. It retained it's previous mechanical characteristics (that is, a narrow V-block engine with 4 cylinders of 69.85 x 88 and displacement of 1200 cc; overhead valves with crankshaft in the crankcase, controlled by a roller chain with automatic tensioner, Zenith carburettor starter, forced lubrication with automatic cleaning filter, oscillating motor suspension on leaf spring with "silent-bloc" shock absorbers, spark-ignition with Bosch 6-volt system, dry single-disc clutch, gearbox in 4-speed block with third silent, transmission shaft with two flexible joints, bridge with hypoid bevel gear, freewheel as standard that allowed the use of the gearbox without the clutch, independent front suspension, rear with leaf springs on roller bearings, hydraulic brakes with aluminum drums and brake by hand on the rear wheels ...) but with some news. The boxed frame comprising the parafiamma and the platform was new; new the calender / radiator group, more inclined; new rear tank arrangement, new single-blade bumpers and new metal-ray wheels with Rudge Whitworth hubs, while retaining the Michelin Supercomfort tires 140 x 40
It have a chassis number that begin from 234 Beautifully restored to original specifications by marque italian specialist in the 1990, and untill now in very good condition.
