1949 MGTC all original bodywork. All in excellent condition. Red with cream leather interior, including hood, side screens, tonneau cover and picnic rack.
Under 60,000 miles from new.
I purchased this car in 1989. This car came of the road in 1957. It was owned by an apprentice at Rolls Royce in Derby and was stripped to the chassis for a project where new parts were bought for the car but no work was ever done to the car. The car was purchased by the previous owner to me, in 1972 and he spent the next 16 (approximately) years restoring it. When I bought the car it had only done 4 miles since 1957 as it had always remained in a workshop.
The engine has had a complete rebuild around 2000 and has done around 1400 miles since restoration. It is superb mechanically. The car comes complete with original log book.
The cars technical status is excellent. Nothing needs replacing, the car is sound and in excellent condition.
The engine, the axles, the gear box, the body, the wings etc are all original.
I feel extremely sad to be parting with this car, however after much contemplation, I feel that it's much better that the car goes to a good home and is driven and enjoyed.
