Comentários do vendedor sobre 1948' Lincoln Continental
The first ever Lincoln Continental was an exercise in making the best for a select few, and 1948 was its final year. So this is truly a rare treat to find this kind of rolling elegance updated with air conditioning, four-wheel disc brakes, a larger V8, and more to make it an even bigger standout and better driver. Edsel Ford brought style to his fathers company, and this car was his greatest demonstration in building something for those who could afford elegance. And while Edsel did not survive past WWII, a few of his finest Continentals did. Priced out of reach of the common man (one of these Continentals could buy four Fords) less than 850 club coupe examples were produced in 1948, the models final year. More than just rarity, this one continues its tradition of rolling opulence with a dignified look from the large fenders, traditional trunk, and covered exterior-mounted spare wheel - a feature so distinctive that it would become the Continentals namesake. The maroon paint is the right color to balance elegance and flair. The presentation is not perfect, but the value price on this distinct custom leaves room in the budget for any updates you any want to do. Plus, theres standout brightwork with nicely finished dual grilles, large bumpers, headlight surrounds, plenty of trim, and smooth wheel covers on iconic whitewalls. The doors have an elegant push-button for entry. Once inside, you discover a nice mix of classic luxury and plenty worthwhile upgrades that keep this a nice cruiser for modern times. Black interiors always have a tasteful look, but this one has added thoughtfulness. After all, the red carpeting coordinates with the piping and button-top presentation on both rows of seats and the dash. These offered spacious accommodations for both the front and rear passengers, and so youll be glad this continues to keep them all comfortable with updates like an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input and ice-cold R134a air conditioning. You have an upgraded Lecarra steering wheel on a tilt column, and theres a full gauge package, including a handy auxiliary readout trio mounted below the dash. These Continentals had a 292 cubic-inch V12 motor when new. They were nifty for its era, but weve had decades of progress in both size and robustness. Thats why this now has a 454 cubic-inch Chevy big block V8. Not only does this have plenty of shine, but youll also sport all the right pieces youll even spot more nice upgrades like the aluminum radiator, Optima red top battery, and a four-barrel carburetor. This is a strong V8, and so there are more stout components, like a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a Ford 9-inch rear end. But while this is a robust build, it was also made to truly be a good cruiser. Thats why you have an upgraded independent front suspension, power steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes. This is a great upper-class classic that has been upgraded to make it nicer to enjoy the drive. So dont miss out on this rare premium package, call today!
