Comentários do vendedor sobre 1937' MG TA Mg Ta

I knew this MG TA years ago when it was given a real ground-up restoration by David Sambell, and there are few TAs that received such an accurate and correct rebuild, and is probably the reason why it was chosen as one of the cars to be photographed for Anders Clausager's reference book...."The Original MG T Series" to provide authentic information that has helped numerous owners over the years.
Because the car was built so well it has stood the test of time. The many coats of cellulose paint have now aged a little, but it has given the car a lovely patina. It sports an original MPJG engine, and although not the one it left the factory with, (it didn't get a replacement Morris or Wolseley unit), but a genuine TA engine only a few numbers apart from its original engine which I'm advised suffered irrepairable frost damage in the'60s.

The total restoration took place approx 20years ago when it won numerous prizes, and has subsequently been properly maintained by its one subsequent owner. Apart from being selected for the important reference book mentioned above, it was also the MG TA that represented its class at the prestigious Windsor Castle MG invite event in 2009. All this together with our own refurbishment in the last few weeks where we re-detailed the dash and engine bays, together with a full service, chassis, suspension, electrical and steering check. We have renewed the fuel delivery system for current unleaded fuel, fitted a solid centre, twin 'O' main/reserve tap, re-gasketed the original bronze TA carburettors, and fitted non-corrosive fuel pipes.

Unlike so many 'T' types, it is NOT finished in red, with beige interior, but one of the much lesser known but original factory colour combinations of two-tone grey, with grey Wilton carpet and contrasting grey leather interior by Collingburn. The roof, tonneau and sidescreens are a precise copy of the originals with the correct stitching and right number of lift-a-dot fasteners. The tonneau has the 1 and half inch deep skirt with the 3 elasticated straps fitted to the back of the bench seat.
It is so nice to find a car that has been rebuilt as the factory did it. It is now worn with just the right amount of patina; and with the full service just completed by ourselves, is ready for another lease of life with a new owner, who I hope will realise he's getting something a little more special with this particular TA .
I hope the photos speak for themselves, but don't hesitate to pick up the phone on this or a any other car that we are offering.
