Seller's comments about 1974' Alfa Romeo Giulia

ARRIVING ON 11th JUNE The Alfa Romeo Giulia 105 and 115 series Coupes were based on a shortened Giulia (105) saloon platform and designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Bertone. The Giulia’s clean and distinctive design is considered to be one of the most attractive small coupes of the 1960's and 70's and was produced in various forms from 1963 to 1977. The GT 1300 Junior was introduced in 1965 and was fitted with a 1, 290cc twin cam engine which produced 102 bhp which gave the car a 0-60mph time of 12. 6 seconds and a top speed of 106mph. In 1968 it was revised by using many parts from its bigger brother, the 1750 GTV. This included the new style dashboard with dials mounted to point towards the driver, the suspension was improved and wider and larger 15'' wheels were introduced. This lovely RHD Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 GT Junior - Chassis/ VIN No: AR 1296297 was built by Alfa Romeo in their assembly plant in South Africa in October 1973 and first registered in Johannesburg, South Africa on 1st January 1974. It was completely restored by an Alfa Romeo specialist in Cape Town and almost everything on the car was renewed as you can see from our photographs. It is finished in its original colour scheme of Argento Silver Metallic with a beautiful re-trimmed Black vinyl interior and black carpets, all original and refurbished dashboard including clocks and dials, refurbished original wooden Steering wheel plus an excellent and totally rust free body with unmarked Silver Metallic paintwork, new chrome fittings and new stainless steel bumpers. During the course of the restoration, a completely rebuilt 1962cc Engine (ARthe details below) was installed along with lots of new ancillaries, all new Brakes and Suspension and its Five Speed Gearbox was also reconditioned. It was imported by us in April 2002 from South Africa and was registered here with age related number plate MCY 442M shortly afterwards. We did sell the car to a collector in September 2022, but due to a change in his circumstances, we are delighted to have been given the car back to sell on his behalf, as it is a real gem! This car really is exceptional in every respect and drives beautifully and it really does need to be seen and driven to be fully appreciated. A great car for touring in this summer and of course being of 'Historic Vehicle' status, it is Road Tax Free, MOT exempt and ULEZ exempt + it can be insured on a Classic Car Insurance policy at a much lower cost. Upon sale the car will come with our own customer care package including a new MOT (although exempt), pre sales Service and 55-point pre-delivery inspection and 6 months mechanical breakdown Parts & Labour Warranty which can be upgraded and extended at additional cost if required. NB: Photographs show the car with its South African number plates shortly after we received the car, and a new set will be taken on arrival. Car soon on display @ our showrooms in Mortlake, South West London.
