Seller's comments about 1958' Austin-Healey 100-6

This Austin Healey 100/ 6 has recently emerged from a period of refurbishment after a long period of storage which has focused on a body restoration which involved the body being completely stripped, blasted and primed. Panels have been repaired or replaced as necessary and the body has been repainted in its original colour of red. Mechanically the car was already very sound with a strong engine displaying good oil pressure. However, other required work that has been done includes a new brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, new brake and flexi pipes. A new wiring loom has been fitted. The front seats have been re-trimmed in leather whist the rear seats have been retained as their condition does not warrant renewal and it is good to retain as much originality as possible. New carpets have been fitted along with new door cards. Other work includes a new clutch master cylinder, flexi pipe and a centre plate. The suspension has also been renewed with new road springs, anti roll bar links etc.
The end result is a very capable and usable Austin Healey which drives exceptionally well showing good oil pressure and it moves through the gears without issue and includes a working overdrive. The car is fitted with a works factory hard top which is in good order with the headlining still intact and just showing some staining on the sides.
The history file includes the original buff logbook which confirms that this is a matching numbers car in its original colour scheme. There are many invoices relating to the recent refurbishment which total the best part of £10k for parts alone. There are some old MOT certificates from the 80s along with a workshop manual and other literature.
