Seller's comments about 1941' BMW 327

- Seamless, well-documented history spanning 85 years- Good overall condition, restored- Described and pictured in numerous publications- One of the last examples to leave the BMW worksVehicle history:For sale is an exceptionally elegant 1941 BMW 327 Cabriolet—an authentic classic with timeless lines and a genuinely storied history. The first delivery took place on 3 March 1941 to Emil Stade from Bromberg in West Prussia. Stade was a BMW dealer and the winner of the Masurian Rally. He used the car as an escape vehicle. After the war, the BMW belonged to a police president from Kassel, who allowed it to be used by himself in 1947. Student Isabell von Hahn bought the vehicle in 1962 and sold it a year later to her fellow student Manfred Hansmann. Mr Hansmann later became a professor at the University in Bonn. From 1971 to 1974, this BMW was owned by Willi Martini, a then very well-known racing driver and race team owner from Adenau near the Nürburgring. In 1975, Jürgen Pollack purchased the BMW and carried out the first complete restoration. From 2000 to 2001, the car was comprehensively restored again. An eleven-page feature in the BMW Veteran Club magazine presents the history and the full scope of the restoration in detail. In addition, this BMW was featured over six pages in the Könemann large-format book “BMW”, with photographs by Rainer Schlegelmich. 25 years ago, the vehicle was acquired by the current owner. A substantial folder of documents confirms the complete vehicle history. This BMW has been fully restored twice over the course of its 85 years and is today in a very good cosmetic and technical condition. The car is powered by a straight-six with a 2. 0-litre displacement and an output of 40 kW (54 bhp), combined with a four-speed manual gearbox. Top speed is around 150 km/ h.
