At that time, the Buick brand represented the somewhat more "dynamic" and also cheaper alternative to the Cadillac. The full-size models were completely revised for the 1950 model year and are still among the most popular today due to their spectacular design. The front of the 50s Buick with the distinctive radiator grille Unfortunately, it was only installed for one year. From 1951, the optics were somewhat "defused". This is another reason why the 1950 model year is one of the most sought-after from the Buick full-size line. The Buick Special "Jet Back" Sedanette also impresses with the great lines of the streamlined Fastback Coupe. Here, too, the parallels to Cadillac can be seen. The name "Jet Back" was chosen here absolutely aptly. This Buick is a real survivor and is presented in great original condition with a very nice patina. The technology of the car was recently revised and serviced by our workshop. The Buick has been in Austria for a number of years and has been classified as a historic vehicle. (Classic H-approval). §57a "Pickerl" was also made in the course of the service preparation. The eight-cylinder in-line engine runs silky smooth and clean. The carburetor has also been overhauled. The Buick drives very well and glides gracefully over the tarmac. A real American "full size" as you would imagine. The Dynaflow automatic complements the smooth-running eight-cylinder engine perfectly. Automatic transmissions were still a real rarity, especially in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Oldsmobile presented the first automatic transmission in 1940. However, it only became "affordable" for the average car customer in the mid-1950s. The interior is in very good condition and has been partially renewed and refurbished. Everything works as it should. The engine compartment and underbody are also in very nice original condition.
