I am pleased to offer a car with probably the most interesting story I have ever come across. I therefore recommend reading the description carefully, because this car is very different from most of the "Amcars" on display. The VIN is too short for otomoto, so I'm giving it here - 1N69R3J300936 Before we move on to the description, I would like to explain why we are selling this car. KURO is a company specializing in comprehensive service for premium cars. For over a decade, we have been offering detailing, PPF protection as well as mechanical and tuning services of the highest quality. We only sell our customers' cars. Well-kept and regularly serviced. Before being listed, the car passed a mechanical and bodywork inspection without any reservations. You buy the car directly from the owner! We just put them up for sale Let's start with the fact that Caprice was not bought at an auction recently and brought to Poland with the hope of making money. From new, Chevrolet was in one hands - Mr. Wiktor. Below is a very abbreviated story. During World War II, Mr. Wiktor was sent to a labor camp in Germany, where he miraculously survived and thanks to the Marshall Plan, he went first to New York and then to Detroit. There he found a job at Chevrolet as a chief electrician. In the 1950s, by a lucky twist of fate, his wife and two children found him (previously considered victims of deportation to Siberia). Together they lived another 25 years in the USA. Mr. Wiktor was a big car fan and previously drove a 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air, then a Chevrolet Impala. He often went to races and moto shows in Detroit. When it was time to return to Poland, he bought a brand new, cherry Caprice, the so-called FisherBody. Fisher started as a "coachbuilding" company building cars on contract, mainly for GM. In the following years, it was completely bought by General Motors and they used it as additional production lines for several of their models. The car came to our country on board probably the most famous Polish ship "Stefan Batory" - The transport can be seen in the last three photos. The car was used sporadically in Poland - it was simply too big for the roads at that time. However, Mr. Wiktor took great care of its technical condition, which is clearly visible in the photos and in operation. The Caprice drives de facto like a new car. Time may have slightly affected the bodywork, but not the mechanical issues. The engine has a brand new battery, oils and filters. It starts in a second and delivers power very evenly. The suspension, as befits the USA, is very soft, but does not creak at all and accepts even large bumps with stoic calm. The interior shows no signs of wear. Even the rubber and plastic elements and stickers visible in the photos are intact. The so-called White Wall tires and "hub caps" are also in perfect condition. Driving it is not only a pleasure but also a time capsule. The car actually has a few minor flaws - a few scratches on the body - fine and protected rust spots - rusty chrome on the mirrors The car was regularly serviced, insured, inspected and driven from time to time to maintain optimal condition. The owner also left some brand new parts for later use - New distributor cap and distributor - New headlights - New fuses - New V-belt - New carburetor filters. - New collector gaskets and several others. Below is a link to a panoramic photo of the inside https://www.divine-foto.pl/portfolio/PANORAMAS/INNE/Chevrolet/1.html A film about the story of Mr. Wiktor and his Caprice is currently being made for the 98 Oktanów YT channel. Today, it is really difficult to find a car from the USA with "black plates" with such low mileage, condition and history - that's why we want to find the Caprice a suitable, new home. The transaction is carried out on the basis of a purchase and sale agreement. Inspection is only possible after prior telephone or e-mail contact. If you have questions: VICTOR wiktor@kuro.pl
