Seller's comments about 1950' Citroen B11
I put up for sale a very rare and unique car from my private collection which is the CITROEN B11 TRACTION AVANT - 1950.
Citroën Traction Avant is an innovative, as befits a French brand, a car model, which was produced in 1934-57. André Citroën and André Lefebvre included a lot of modern solutions in the design, although the company itself was experiencing a considerable crisis at that time. Later, many engineers from other brands took advantage of the French ideas.
The Citroёn Traction Avant was the first car with front-wheel drive (Traction Avant - French for front drive), it had a self-supporting body built on a frame plate, independent wheel suspension (designed by Ferdinand Porsche), hydraulic brakes on all wheels. The Traction Avant's exterior design was not drawn, but was originally carved in clay by the famous sculptor Flaminio Bertoni. The car was eagerly used by gangsters (hence it was known in Europe as Gangstalimuzine), then also by the police and State Services, including after World War II by the Polish Ministry of Public Security (SB). One of the produced units can be viewed at the Citroën Experience Center on Rue Oscar Freire in São Paulo
The presented model is a vehicle whose condition can be safely described as collector's. The car has undergone a complete renovation process. The body was completely disassembled, all elements were sandblasted, subjected to sheet metal works and protected against painting by the galvanizing process. The undercarriage has been secured with top-class maintenance agents. Most of the haberdashery items were re-subjected to the chrome-plating process. All equipment elements have been completely renewed or replaced with brand new ones. The entire electrical installation - despite the fact that it is operational - has been replaced with a new one. All gaskets and rubber elements are new. The car has also undergone a thorough mechanical service, is fully operational and ready for long journeys. The Citroen was painted in a black paint color - according to the specification. All the parts used for the reconstruction come from high-quality manufacturers and will certainly repay you with the appropriate durability. I have detailed photographic documentation for all the works carried out, which I will pass on to the future owner.
The car is garaged, well-kept and kept clean. He has participated in music videos and film productions several times. One of the last ones is "KURIER" by Władysław Pasikowski and "Father Mateus" produced by ATM Grupa.
The car has been restored beyond its factory condition!
